Arkansas – 2010

It was the middle of July when I passed through Arkansas.  I was going to spend some time at the campground in Hot Springs National Park but when I got there I was totally disappointed with the place.  The campsites were very small and an armpit smell away from each other  I opted instead to drive about 35 miles north to the Ouachita national Forest and the Lake Sylvia campground.  But it was a very good decision.  I have had very good luck with the National Forest system and this was no exception.  Hot showers ample room and a great hiking trail system.
